Ingredients:



  1. 1 tbsp desi ghee

  2. ½ cup grated khoya/mawa

  3. 2 cups green peas(matar)

  4. ½ cup white sugar

  5. 1 cup milk

  6. ¼ tsp green cardamom powder

  7. 1 tbsp chopped cashews

  8. 1 tbsp chopped almonds

  9. 1 tbsp raisins


Method:



  1. Boil the green peas in 2 cups of water until they become semi soft.

  2. Drain the water and mash them. keep aside.

  3. Melt ghee in a non stick pan, add mashed peas.

  4. Stir continuously on slow flame till fragrance comes out.

  5. Add khoya, sugar, cardamom powder and milk, stir till it becomes semi thick.

  6. Add raisins, chopped cashew and almonds, mix well.

  7. Matar ka halwa is ready to serve hot.
